Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in the Community

At Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, our goal is to create an environment where we not only give to our employees, but also give in large to our customers and the community. We are here to serve our community, our employees, and every individual we come in contact with. It is imperative that we do what we can, where we are, to make the world a better place. We now host quarterly community events and fundraisers in Yankton, South Dakota. Please join us for any or all events! We look forward to continuing to serve our community.

Fill A Truck for the Food Pantry

Each November we host Fill a Truck for the Food Pantry. Throughout the month, we park a truck in the showroom and have flyers posted around with the information of what we are doing. We also share information of this fundraiser throughout the community. We ask our employees, customers, and community members to contribute items to the Yankton Food Pantry and Sack Pack Program to help feed the hungry in our Yankton community. Our mission is to fill the truck. The last two years we have gathered more than 1000 food items for donation to these programs from employees, customers, and community residents. Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram then totals the number of items collected and MATCHES the quantity of items collected giving double the amount of food items to the Yankton Food Pantry and Yankton Sack Pack Program. We enjoy watching the piles of food grow in the truck throughout the month!

Yankton Sack Pack Program

The Yankton Sack Pack program is a great program in Yankton that prepares hundreds of sacks of food each week for children in need to take home over the weekend to have food and nutrition while school is out-of-session over holidays and weekends. The Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram team of employees volunteered to assist in packaging these meals assembly-line style in the month of November. We packed over 330 bags of food for area children in need to enjoy over the Thanksgiving holiday break.

Annual Blood Drive

Every January we host the Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Annual Blood Drive together with LifeServe to collect blood donations. The Blood drive mobile unit sets up on our lot. We advertise the event to encourage employees, customers, and community members to donate blood for the blood bank.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Social Distancing Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Broadway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, was developed at a time when COVID-19 was first becoming a concern throughout the community. We wanted to give an outlet to celebrate the Easter holiday season, publish some positive community news despite the doom and gloom health news at that time, and give area children an event they could safely participate in and look forward to. We encouraged children to decorate easter eggs via coloring them, painting them, applying glitter, etc. We offer printed eggs available for pick up in store, in the key drop box area (no-contact), or available from printing conveniently at home. Once children decorate their egg, we ask that they are returned to the dealership either in-person or via the no-contact drop box secured conveniently outside our dealership. Once the eggs are received, our sales team number the eggs and place them in the front windshield of a vehicle unit in inventory throughout our lot. We then ask parents, employees, and members of the community to drive through our lot admiring all of the beautiful various Easter eggs displayed in the vehicle windows and vote on their favorite egg by number. At the end of our Easter Egg Contest we tally up the votes and the children who submitted the Easter eggs with the TOP 5 volume of votes receive a new free age-appropriate bike for Easter donated by our dealership. This has been a very fun and exciting event throughout the years!
